Announcing Moton 2011 Events Schedule

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Robert Russa Moton High School Student Strike, and grand opening of the Museum’s first phase of permanent exhibits, we are pleased to present the schedule of events for April 2011. The kick-off event will be on Sunday, April 17th with services to honor Barbara Rose Johns Powell and Rev. L. Francis Griffin. A gala event on Saturday will be held in honor of the Davis Case plaintiffs and recognizing the Moton 2011 donors and sponsors. In addition, the Museum will host screenings of the Tim Reid film, Strike: April 23, 1951 as well as the WGBH Boston documentary Freedom Riders.
