Our Schools, Our Vision

June 1, 2009

For over nine months, members of Robert Russa Moton Museum have met in collaboration with representatives from Hampden-Sydney College, Longwood University, Prince Edward County Public Schools, and Fuqua School with a shared commitment to educational opportunities in Prince Edward County.

A product of this collaboration is the recent brochure entitled Our Schools, Our Vision:  A Shared Commitment.  This brochure describes each institution’s educational role.

Though each of these schools began as a segregated institution; each is today an integrated institution.  The alliance formed between the schools and the Moton Museum has given an opportunity for discussion of the history and the evolution of education in the region for all.
