The Robert Russa Moton Museum is one of the 41 sites that make up the Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail. The Museum is ADA accessible and is open to the public for individual or group visits Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission is free.
As part of the museum’s on-going exhibit, the film “Strike: April 23, 1951” can be viewed Tuesday-Saturday at 12:15 p.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 3:45 p.m. This film, directed by Tim Reid, includes interviews by former Moton High School students and a re-enactment of the 1951 student walkout. Admission is free.
Our Gift Shop offers several books, t-shirts and other items related to the Museum and Civil Rights in Education. Gift Shop hours at the museum are Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. Items may purchased during your visit or from our Online Gift Shop. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Online purchases and donations are processed securely through PayPal.
